Welcome to
The Candlelight

A warm welcome awaits

The Candlelight is a proper country pub, all cosy nooks, open fires and the easy atmosphere that invites you to settle in awhile. Behind the bar you’ll find well-kept beers, exceptional bar snacks and comforting pub classics, all served with the kind of care that turns a quick visit into a long, happy stay.

Just up the road, you’ll find our older sibling, the Cotley Inn. Not quite twins, but unmistakably family, both pubs share the same love of good food, good company and genuine hospitality. Here at the Candlelight, everyone is welcomed like an old friend, whether you’re popping in for the first time or returning for your fiftieth.

Candlelight Menus

We’re delighted to share our new menus with you, packed with hearty British pub classics, tasty daily specials and fresh seafood.

A gourmet burger on a black plate with a side of potato chips, in a restaurant setting with a glass of white wine nearby and a person in the background slicing food.
A hearty spread of traditional Thanksgiving foods including roasted turkey with stuffing, sliced ham, roasted potatoes, mashed sweet potatoes, green beans with carrots, and collard greens, served on a wooden table.
A plated serving of fish topped with capers, served with small potatoes and green beans on a ceramic dish
A dessert of a chocolate brownie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top, garnished with chocolate crumbs, served on a white plate. There is a fork and spoon on a napkin to the left of the plate and a bowl of toppings in the background on a wooden table.
